The Vigeland Park

The beautiful Vigeland Park contains more than 200 sculptures made by Gustav Vigeland (1896-1943) – for example Sinnataggen/the angry boy, Monolitten/the Monolith and Livshjulet/the Wheel of Life. With more than a million visitors every year, it’s one of Norway’s most known attractions.

The officially correct name for the park is actually Frognerparken/The Frogner Park. It would be be an attraction even without the statues. The many visitors are not only tourists, but also locals who use the park as a place for relaxation, playing and socialization.
